Disabling an account means to deactivate it, temporarily or permanently. All the conversations you had will be kept in your computer.

After disabling an account, it is possible to enable it again.

From the Contact List window, perform one of the following:

Press F4.

Choose EditAccounts.

Select the account you wish to disable from the box on the left of the dialog.

Deselect the Enabled check-box.

Click on Apply.
